Highlight Parts of a Whole

Highlight parts of a whole by clicking on them with the mouse. When one or more parts are highlighted, a corresponding statement and fraction will appear next to the picture.

Read a Fraction Statement

Describe in words the number of highlighted parts out of the number of parts that make up the whole unit. See if your description matches the statement next to the picture.

Choose a Number of Parts

Use the arrow buttons to increase or decrease the number of parts. The up arrow button increases the number of parts, the down arrow button decreases the number of parts.

Choose a New Whole

Click the New Whole button for a new picture.
